Who We Are

The Washington, D.C. Democratic Women’s Club (DCDWC) promotes candidacy for women, advocacy, mentoring and training to empower and successfully engage women at all levels of the Democratic Party.

The DCDWC was chartered in 1966 as a means of preparing and training women for elective office and for supporting women candidates. Our mission is to educate women about the Democratic Party and to motivate women to seek leadership positions within the Party.

The DCDWC is an affiliate group of the Washington, D.C. Federation of Democratic Women (DCFDW). The DCFDW is a member group of the National Federation of Democratic Women which is recognized by the DNC.
